About Marco Brienza

With 20+ years of experience in information technologies (IT) and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), I am a co-founder of Odienz Consulting, a company that supports Swiss organizations in achieving their growth goals.     As an external business developer, I have received several internalization offers from my clients, all of which were declined... until the proposal of La Nébuleuse, microbrewery based in Renens and ready to conquer the Swiss market. After several months spent as an independent seller for the brand and some tactical successes earned in French- (i.e. Eldora, 13*PAMValais) and in German-speaking Switzerland (i.e. Coop@home, Prodega) it was clear that sales efforts could be supported by a sharper commercial strategy including retail. From October 2017, my role as a Sales Accelerator included the follow-up of key account customers (i.e. Coop, Manor, Aligro) and the co-management of the national sales team, together with one of the company's three co-founders. This internal setup went on until they offered me the position of COO ad interim: from July 2018 to Summer 2019, I was responsible for managing the four operational departments (marketing, sales, production and logistics) in tight collaboration with our Brewmaster and the logistics manager for all supply aspects.Here is a (non-exhaustive) list of achievements reached during that period: >> +50% annual turnover growth (2017 to 2018)>> direct deliveries replaced by a distributors strategy (2018) >> creation of SwitzerlandCan.ch as a digital marketing platform (2018)>> introduction of 'Bière des Romands' by Swiss airlines (2019)>> introduction of 'Double Oat' by Coop (regional) and Manor (national) as an additional article (2019) >> introduction of 'Zepp' and 'AmWheat' in 33cl can format by Manor at a national level (2019)

At that time, I was responsible for a 7-digit media budget, which was split between television, billboards, cinema & Internet. Also, Henniez was present at the biggest events of Switzerland - festivals such as Gurtenfestival and Openair St-Gallen - with its 'Forest of Henniez' featuring a chill-out bar and funny games.
