    • Conducted research work focused on the development and testing of tool-path codes for a novel optical surface figuring process called Reactive Atom Plasma. This led to an accurate and rapidly converging process by employing purposely designed algorithms.• Integrated mathematical dwell-time techniques and tool-path strategies.• Focussed on the characterisation of the process for different optical substrate materials (silica based glass-ceramics), as well as on investigations on heat transfer within substrates (including some modelling).• Trained in CNC and Matlab programming.• Trained in following metrology techniques: interferometry and optical testing, white-light interferometry, profilometry, thermal measurement techniques (contact & infrared), CMM, analytical surface assessment methods (e.g., XRD).• Experienced in the use of data analysis methodologies and software. In particular, image processing is mastered for the use in algorithms development.
