In my career I have always been interested in integrated design and the building enclosure.Working with Architects, I have learnt how to play with different materials and technologies, how to coordinate a design team and how to develop tender drawings and specifications from sketches and scale models.As a Façade Engineer for Focchi, I have learnt how to translate the architect drawings into feasible details and shop drawings; then, as a site technician in London, my primary concerns have been installation sequences, tolerances, quality control procedures and coordination with main contractor.As a Senior Façade Engineer at Buro Happold I have learnt how to use a deeper knowledge of the UK and European standards and technical literature, of the more advanced design tools and materials available on the market, in a creative problem solving approach to assist the architects and clients in delivering high profile projects.Back to Italy, at Open Project my facade engineering expertise has found an application on high performance envelopes for new buildings and on the recladding of existing buildings, and I have developed my LEED AP skills.
