Managed a 9 million dollar budget that funded IT support, mission essential travel and civilian payroll. Exercised due diligence, resulted in several audits with positive results and few to no deficiencies in our resource management plan.Developed and maintained multiple internal control programs that ensure the group remains in compliance with DoD regulations, Army oversight programs and is a good steward of government resources.Oversaw a rigorous Intelligence Oversight (IO) Program for both US Army and NATO requirements, worked closely with the Army Staff to identify, investigate and report on violations. Routinely conduct coordination with both US and multinational agencies to achieve our mission objectives within Europe and Afghanistan. Directs a staff that conducts interagency coordination at the most senior levels, to include the Army Staff, Department of Defense and their counterparts within our allied and partner nations.

Led a team of 20 military, DoD civilians and contractors to provide tailored solutions that improved the security of our customer base. Led two separate intra-agency workgroups to solve significant operational roadblocks that developed over time. -With the first issue, I built a team composed of stakeholder representative and subject matter experts. Established new, aggressive program milestones supported with group buy in. Resulted in moving a program that had stalled for six months forward and fielded both a material and workflow solution in 45 days. -After a serious data breach, formed another working group that conducted analysis and provided recommendations on mitigation measures to senior leaders at the agency level. Represented the headquarters at interagency meetings that were critical to understanding the larger impact across the US Government. Coordinated the actions of two contingency casualty recovery missions. Each recovery was designed to provide support to injured DoD personnel in remote locations. This required the execution of a plan that combined both DoD assets and contractors as required. These plans were the culmination of several interagency coordination meetings to identify the resources and stakeholders that would play a role.Led a major realignment of my offices in the Pacific Rim. This required interagency coordination and several senior leader briefings to ensure continued support to our customer base. The realignment of the bases resulted in $12,000 dollars in savings per FY in per diem and travel expenses.

I managed all aspects of military intelligence training, collection and operations related to the trainup and deployment to Regional Command North, Afghanistan. This was funded through a multi million dollar budget that I coordinated through our next higher headquarters. I oversaw the training of Intelligence Support Teams that provided leaders at the lowest level the ability use information from multiple sources to make effective and timely decisions in their operations. In Afghanistan, I directed the brigade's collection and analysis efforts that supported three subordinate headquarters in an geographic area equivalent to the size of Florida. I led a team that provided well researched intelligence products that helped to inform key decision makers as they continued to assess and improve their efforts to train, advise and assist our Afghan Security Forces Partners.The team that I and my immediate subordinates built took intelligence from multiple sources to generate written and graphic products that we shared with our partners daily. Managed an Alternative Compensatory Control Measure in support of the mission. Led a planning cell that developed an intelligence driven strategy to achieve specific effects we wanted to achieve against a negative influencer. As a result, he was forced into a third country where he was not able to work against us.Routinely briefed senior leaders from Kabul. They left briefings more informed about the unique problem sets we faced.

Training for mid grade Army Officers that prepares them for duty as staff officers in senior postions. Educates them on operating and maintaining the systems that allows the Army to be successful in joint operations. The course focuses on leadership development, understanding staff operations in both the Army and Joint environments, organizational sustainment and interacting with senior officials to include information and decision briefs. Students are tested on a regular basis and provided constructive feedback on how to improve themselves.

Rigorous, 9 month Graduate Degree producing program. Students are hand selected from DoD and the military services. Graduates earn a Masters of Science in Strategic Intelligence.Coursework for the program included studies in critical thinking, development and implementation of strategy at the national level, strategic collection and analysis, globalization, russia and central asia among a wide variety of subjects. I was selected to attend the week long Strategic Decision Making Seminar at the Army War College in Carlisle Barracks, PA. Working alongside senior US Military Officers and Senior Executive Service officers, participants were given a real world scenario requiring them to develop responses and policy recommendations at the Department and Cabinet level of decision making. I completed my thesis on the future of Russian Military Intelligence early and graduated with a 3.78 GPA.

Coached and mentored 19 staff teams in a two year period. During each of the rotations provided constructive feedback and observations that was designed to help staff partners see themselves and their operations. Utilized a variety of methods to include written observations, recorded interviews, computer simulations and questions designed to elicit feedback and drive team discussions. As a coach and mentor, worked closely with fellow subject matter experts on the training team to provide a full field analysis and feedback to the training audience. Incorporated lessons learned from Iraq and Afghanistan into each training rotation. This allowed the staff teams to train in an environment that would allow them to exercise their own internal systems and processes and receive feedback on what worked and what didn’t.Volunteered for additional training on counter improvised explosive device training. This allowed me to improve the training and provide staffs critical feedback on developing control measures for a serious threat they would eventually face. This also resulted me going to our partner training center at Fort Irwin during our off cycle periods to assist them with their training rotations.

Primary Staff Officer responsible for managing all aspects of intelligence collection, analysis and distribution to a US Army infantry battalion. Advises the commander on all matters related to tactical intelligence operations.Oversees the implementation of physical and personal security programs of the battalion. Ensures that subordinate units are in compliance with the appropriate Army regulations for the securing and safeguard of high value, and militarily sensitive equipment.
