1 year traineeship at Professor Nunzio Iraci's Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Biology. During this year, I gained independence in carrying out in vitro experiments, as well as molecular biology techniques such as Western Blotting and qPCR. Furthermore, I expanded my skills to the handling and husbandry of Zebrafish, a powerful in vivo system for the study of complex basic and disease mechanisms like Parkinson's Disease-related Neuroinflammation.

Traineeship at Professor Nunzio Iraci's Laboratory of Molecular and Cell Biology, where I gained experience working with Neural Stem Cells, primary astrocytes and established cell lines and relative culture and maintenance, performing in vitro drug assays and cell viability assessment, purification of Extracellular Vesicles (exosomes), as well as basic molecular biology techniques like nucleic acid and protein extractions, PCR and Western Blotting.My thesis' title was "Soluble Epoxide Hydrolases as potential targets for prevention of neurodegeneration in a cellular model of Parkinson's Disease" acollaboration with the University of Salerno aimed at evaluating the effects of two novel-synthesis compounds in preventing neurodegeneration and neuroinflammation.
