The UAS is a branch of the RAF that aims to develop University students in many areas such as leadership, teamwork among many others with the hope of developing students into becoming RAF officers in any role however this is not required. One of the roles I hold on my squadron is the coaching and management of the Football team. This role allows me to help develop and coach members of the Squadron into becoming better players. I am able to implement my own ideas and tactics in this role alongside being able to develop basic areas of Squadron meekness play who do not have much experience playing football alongside working with very experianced players. From working through the Foundation I was able to begin working as an Academy scout for the Academy. This role has allowed me to develop my eye for a player and to better improve my tactical understanding. My scouting work has also allowed me to better understand the different qualities, strengths and weaknesses a player could have and how they suit a particular system, style of play or position.

From September this year I have also been fortunate to be offered the opportunity to work as a Performance Analysis Intern at the Academy. Working within both the Scouting and Performance Analysis Departments has allowed me to gain a greater understanding as to how the two departments can work alongside each other, allowing me to improve in each field.

I am currently in my first year of Studying Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Lincoln. Last year however I studied International Relations and changed course due to wanting to pursue a career in sport.

In 2018 I began Volunteering for the Lincoln City Foundation. Within this role I worked as an Assistant to various coaches at the Elite Development centre which the Foundation ran. From this I was able to become a sessional coach at the foundation which has allowed to gain experience coaching teams myself and build upon the experience I already have in this area.
