Meet Marco Mazzanti. Marco is the chief instructor and head of style at Kimekai Martial Arts. With Kimekai, Marco wishes to create a positive environment, build character, increase self-confidence and develop a winning attitude to life for both children and adults alike. Marco is recognized as an elite coach with 36 years of experience; having held state, national and international coaching positions and instructing top athletes. Marco is the current Victorian, Australian Karate Federation (AKF) head Kumite coach, a senior AKF National coach and the chair member of the National Coaching Group. Furthermore, Marco is strongly committed to cultivating the best karate and martial arts students in Australia with the aid of the Kobe Osaka International organization. Apart from karate, Marco is also a competent BJJ instructor, graded to black belt by Peter deBeen in 2015 and to this day remains a passionate disciple of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. He began his training in Judo at the age of 8, then Karate (in the Shukokai style) at the age of 14 and has since trained with some of the most well known and experienced sensei in the world. Today, Marco holds a 6th dan black belt. From 1981 to 2001, Marco was one of Australia’s top competitors on the international stage. A 10 time Australian Karate Kumite Champion, former Oceania Cup Champion and the former captain of the Australian Karate team, Marco showed tremendous passion and devotion to his art in his competition years. Marco remains committed to the study of martial arts continuing to further his knowledge and skills with the latest and most effective training methods.
