My work at Lumileds consists in performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of LED lamps, with a special focus on the end of life phase. The internship entailed the study of the biological risk posed by hull fouling in freight ships entering the Great Lakes. During my stay I coordinated and sampled cargo ships at the port of Detroit, analyzed samples, and helped in other research projects.
