I am currently working as a Chartered Surveyor and a RICS Registered Valuer within the Property Services Department of the Valuation Office Agency. Prior to this I was working within the Management & Valuation Department of Deloitte Real Estate. I joined the firm in April 2007 following an Economics degree from Edinburgh University and an Estates Management degree from Heriot-Watt University. Prior to my poistion with Deloitte I gained experience in residential property development and in property management.My current responsibilities include: * Loan Security Valuations with regards to residential, office, retail and industrial properties on behalf of UK and international banks and building societies.* Portfolio valuations * Public Sector valuations* Asset valuations for Financial Reporting purposes.* Public / Private Sector Valuation Audit Reviews undertaken on behalf of External Audit clients. The process involves working alongside Audit colleagues reviewing valuations across the different asset classes and categorisations such as Property Plant and Equipment and Investment Assets. * Residential & Commercial Development AppraisalsExperience in producing development appraisals and residual valuations for a broad range of clients including house builders, property companies and their lenders. Lease Advisory* General estates advice and experience in negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals for retained property company clients across the full range of property including offices, industrial and retail.
