Design and implementation of gasoline engine control system for VW customer. In detail the activity includes:- requirement capture and tracking with the analysis of the engine control modules involved and of the general impacts on the system (use of IBM Doors tool for specifying them and define the correspondent qualification criteria and IBM Telelogic Change for tracking in according to the Automotive SPICE rules).- Implementation of the requirements on the engine control module specification. This typically implies modifications on the related Matlab\​Simulink model, unit test validation by simulation and final model coverage and verification that the MISRA rules are satisfied (only for the Stateflow present in the model).- Software implementation by the DSpace Target Link code generator and then Unit test validation comparing MIL and SIL results.- Management of the engine control module as a project into the IBM Synergy database.- Support on the Validation phase on the HIL test bench and in the vehicle and analysis of the results.- Use of the Etas INCA tool to make acquisitions, merge calibrations and flash the development ECU. Focus on main tasks and experiences:- Spent one year as Resident Engineer in the Wolfsburg office of MM Germany near the VW Customer site, in order to support them for the projects development, capture the functional requirements and do the interface with MM Bologna. - Injection, Ignition and flywheel synchronization system adaptation from 4 to 3 cylinders engine. - Active collaboration with the Brazilian colleagues to develop new Flex Fuel project with VW Customer.- Definition of a control structure to adapt in an efficient way the gasoline control system to work with LPG and Flex Fuel.- Re-engineering of the final part of the gasoline chain: injection and ignition control system. This job included a complete re-view of the entire specifications and great support for the validation phase.
