I define myself as a philosopher firstly by character, and secondly by education.I do consider myself academically formed, but my love for philosophy grows deeper than the books I read and the exams I took. I say “philosopher by character” because, in my most profound nature, there has always been an unsatisfiable need to question reality and confront authority, never passively accepting the world as it was presented to me and instead always imagining it for what it could be.I have always tried to exit my comfort zone in the pursuit of change, even in extracurricular activities. During the six years of scouting, I learnt discipline, service to others and teamwork. Throughout four years of high school drama courses, I became a confident public speaker ready to interact with any audience, even performing an anti-mafia play in front of inmates. In the summer before Liceo's graduation, I volunteered at a rescue centre for underage migrants, awakening my political and social conscience. With my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Padua (Italy), completed with full marks and honours (110/110 cum laude), I gained a solid academic foundation in all classic areas of philosophy: ancient, medieval, modern, contemporary, and political philosophy. In my Master’s Degree, also completed with full marks and honours (110/110 cum laude), I specialized in Ethics and Philosophy of Science. I have spent two semesters abroad with the prestigious scholarships Erasmus2022 and Ulisse2024, one at Roskilde University (Denmark) and one at Concordia University (Canada).I am also no stranger to collaborations with experts across different scientific fields, as most of my academic productions were fundamentally constructed through it: 1. RUC Team Project: “Ethics of Genetic Engineering and Artificial Intelligence”, interviews with bioethicist M. Annoni (CNR, Italy) & A.I. expert Prof. F. Bianchini (UniBO, Italy), 2. Bachelor’s Thesis: “Abiogenesis: discussion on the origin and evolution of life”, supervised by theoretical physicist Prof. G. Peruzzi (Dept. Physics and Astronomy, UniPD) and collaboration with biologist Prof. W.F. Martin (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, DE)3. Master’s Thesis: “Against Biological Relativism: the Cases of Race and Sex", supervisor philosopher of evolution Prof. D. Pievani (Dept Biology, UniPD) and collaboration with geneticist Prof. G. Barbujani (Dept Genetics, UniFE)I am currently looking for PhD's opportunities in the area of Philosophy of Science and Ethics.
