    Sène & Cie is M&A boutique focused on small & mid cap transactions. I was an intern as part of my end of Master internship and I have converted my internship in a full time position.I have worked on 5 deals across all regions. Mainly Europe, but also APAC and Africa. I covered the Cloud & IT / SAP & consulting / Real Estate - Hotels / Agriculture / Asset Management sectorsIn this period I was tasked with : - Pitch / Teaser / Memorandum production. With each new mandate secured, I was asked to produce the marketing documentation necessary such as Pitches Teasers ans Information Memorandum. The crucial phase is gatehring information, interact with clients to get every valuable information and filter which one is useful and which one isn't. In total I worked on a total of 3 IM, 3 Teasers and 5 Pitches.- Market Analysis. In regards to the task above, I performed various market analysis to assess the sector's growth potential and present it in our marketing material.- Financial analysis, modeling and valuation. I performed financial statements analysis on client's data to build a business plan, projections and a solid valuation model to be presented to clients and to potential investors. I have help buildling 1 Business plan and valuation model from scratch.- Dataroom management.I was an administrator of the dataroom of 3 datarooms with 50+ users each. I am now familiar with dataroom softwares such as Datasite.- Interaction with all stakeholder in a M&A transaction during the whole process.I was the point of contact of all the participants in the transaction. I gave the right information at the right time to the right people and filtered the communications to ensure a smooth process.- Target identification. I had to identify the most suitable target and/or investors for our client business. We ended up, on average, with more than 10 suitable target per deal which advanced to a later stage in the transaction.

    SDG Transmission is a Private Equity Search Fund specialized in french microcaps and SMEs. I was an intern for 6 months as part of my end of BBA internship. In this period I was tasked with : - Memorandum analysis. Several IMs were sent to us, and I had to go through them, analyse the company, the market, the deal structure, the management situation and financial statements. In the end I had to give my opinion on the company and whether it was a good deal or not. - High frequency screening. We focused on several sectors for a possible acquisitions via LBO. We were screening up to 2000 companies per sector, per month.- Financial analysis of targeted companies. I performed financial statements analysis on potential targets companies. I firstly try to find if they correspond to our invetsment criteria and then try to assess their potential growth. - Market Analysis. In line with the task above, I performed market analysis to assess the sector's growth potential and rate the market. This rating was used in complement to the internal analysis of the company to adjust BP, forecast and the model. - Participation in clients and investors meetings.I gained a lot of experience on how to talk with entrepreneurs in transmission phase, what are their fear, their interest...- Production of marketing material for fund's investors.

    Elettromeccanica Marrara is a family-owned italian SMEs, that operates in the water service and water supply sector. I was an intern In this family-owned business for 6 months. I performed client and supplier portfolio analysis and billing activity reports.Portfolio Analysis : - I executed client portfolio analysis. This analysis goes back up to early 90s. From this task there was evidence of an imbalance of client distribution. I then expressed my recommendation to the management.- I then moved to supplier portfolio. Nothing major to report here. Billing Activity Report : -I was then tasked to look at the billing activity of the last 7 years. After going through the bills of each client and supplier, I discovered an important amount of receivables, huge amount of client's bill not yet paid. Here too, I informed management and proposed a solution involving a factoring company.Process Improvement : -Their archive was solely physical, no electronic copies. I digitalized it all, so that they could perform their analysis more easily. - We worked on pump acceptance process. After several tentatives, we came up with a new process involving 33% less paperwork.

It was an eclectic position, requiring skills in :- AccountingEvery day I proceeded to count the daily revenues and entered the sum into the software.- Communication via social networksI participated in the development of the cryotherapy segment through communication campaigns on social media, but also by prospecting in person. I chose 3 specific targets such as seniors, sportsmen and other medical practicionners. For each target I chose the appropriate and relevant support. For example, for seniors I set up a newsletter on the different diseases affecting this demographic and how cryotherapy could help. - Customer relations As with any personal service activity, you need to have a good set of interpersonal skills. Many patients have never had a similar experience, so it was necessary to accompany them through this experience. In addition, as each client has different pathologies, patience and listening were necessary to advise them on the best way to proceed.
