Mechanical Engineer I
Current• Project champion for assigned equipment orders and involved in all aspects of the engineering process from sales and initial design to acceptance testing and commissioning• Independently engineer and design autoclaves, pressure vessels, mechanical equipment and custom process systems, assuring that equipment meets all customer and regulatory mandates and ASME codes• Responsible for creating Bill of Material utilizing company data base and overseeing timely procurement of materials for assigned projects• Generate customer approval, subassembly fabrication, and P&ID models and drawings using 2D and 3D design software• Perform finite element analysis and CFD on ancillary equipment and subsystems to validate structural integrity and performance• Communicate with customers regarding project specifications, schedule, fabrication, installation, training, equipment acceptance, and address all questions and concerns• Collaborate with manufacturing departments during fabrication of the equipment to maintain progress and resolve nonconformances• Evaluate existing designs and processes for possible improvements in design, cost-efficiency, and reliability• Conduct sales engineering to produce accurate and competitve quotes, change orders, and ROMs for customers• Demonstrate team values that include prioritizing safety, having a positive attitude, leading by example, showing an eagerness to learn, being a team player, working efficiently, and producing high quality work
