My role at ET Nice was to penetrate the KZN market with numerous sales and marketing techniques, as a team we achieved and even surpassed our goals and became industry leaders in our respective areas.

I saw an opportunity to start my own security installations company. This is where I learned the most, I had to learn the legal aspects and formal administration process of business on my own and I personally think it was for the best. Managing the business was challenging as I had to do all the work on my own and mostly spent my time on marketing and sales. This gave me great insight into the whole of the security industry in South Africa and also gave me the opportunity to become part of the fastest growing industry in South Africa. Managing this business gave me the knowledge to enter the corporate world of security and to take a new step in my career.

I was mainly responsible for managing the technical aspects of the business, my duties included giving customers technical advice on the security of their homes and what products would suit them best, giving customers quotes and closing the deals and I did repairs on certain products. Other duties were to do small scale marketing for the technical side of the business and assisted with monthly filing of income and expenses.

At C&M design I was responsible for a team of workers, our objective was mainly to run small construction sites and handle it with the necessary professionalism, I had to learn how to manage the people that worked in my team in order to be productive and give the company a sustainable competitive advantage. Other duties also included the filing of all expenses of the business and communicating with the suppliers for on time deliveries at the best costs.
