When completed my Nautical College in 1984, and after two years spent at University ( Naval Nautical Science ) I spent 18 months onboard military warships with rank of Deck Sergeant. From 1988 to middle 1993, I sailed onboard various Merchant Marine vessels ( tankers, containers, Ro-Ro, passengers and ferry boats ) starting with rank of deck officer till 2nd Officer. At the end of year 1993 I approached the offshore oil industry working for Saipem. I was involved in various different types of offshore jobs like : deep diving support, pipe-laying, heavy lifting, drilling and anchor handling operations.
