About Marco A. Escobar, Ph.D.

With over seven years of experience as a professor and researcher at Universidad De La Salle Bajío, I am a passionate and creative problem-solver who specializes in micromagnetics, data science, and optics. I have published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, presented at 21 conferences, and reviewed 20 manuscripts for 11 journals in these fields. I have also led and collaborated with multidisciplinary, multicultural, and cross-functional teams on 13 projects, using Python and R for data analysis, simulation, and documentation.As a professor and researcher, I aim to advance the understanding and design of magnetic nano-structures and devices, as well as to inspire and mentor the next generation of engineers and scientists. I have taught 14 undergraduate and graduate courses, advised 6 final projects, and served on 7 thesis committees. I have also worked closely with industry partners and stakeholders, applying my electronics, optics, and data science background to assess, evaluate, and propose innovative solutions. I am motivated by the impact of my work on society and the environment, and I seek to join a quality-focused and team-oriented organization that shares my vision and values.
