Work placement as part of MTP-HSR fellowship. Key role involved with a whole-of-government implementation of a comprehensive system map of mental health and substance-use addictions services in the province. Duties involve providing research-oriented guidance and support, and liaising with key stakeholders and knowledge keepers during the utilization of a quantitative Needs-Based Planning framework.

• Proficiency in R and SAS for data management, analysis, and visualization• Authorship and management of public-facing epidemiology reports on COVID-19 and influenza• Involvement with the surveillance and analysis of COVID-19 and influenza cases, risk factors, and severe outcomes in Manitoba• Involvement with the continual assessment and monitoring of COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness and breakthrough cases in Manitoba• Involvement with investigations of COVID-19 vaccination take-up and hesitancy in Manitoba schools and youth population• Database management of provincial COVID-19, respiratory, and enteric outbreaks• Coordination of surveillance data with Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) on provincial COVID-19, other respiratory viruses, and enteric activity levels
