Marco Brizzi, PhD, is professor, critic and curator in the field of architecture. He graduated from the University of Florence, the city where he lives. In 2003, he was a finalist for the Golden Medal for criticism awarded by the Triennale di Milano.He is a founder of Image www.imageforculture.com, a company dedicated to promoting a better understanding of media issues in architecture since 2000. He established and directed "Beyond Media," an architecture festival that took place in Florence from 1997 to 2009 and focused on videos made by architects in the context of a broader debate on architecture and media relations. He also directed “arch’it,” one of the first online architecture magazines since 1995. In 2015, he founded "The Architecture Player" (www.architectureplayer.com) to share his extensive collection of architecture videos and personal experiences with this unique form of documentation. He co-directs The Architecture Curator www.thearchitecturecurator.com, supporting the creative development of emerging and established architecture practices.
