About Marco Roberto Cavallari
Since 2022, Marco Roberto Cavallari has been a Professor Doctor I, MS-3.1, at the DEEB - Department of Electronics and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). Currently, he is the Extension Commission Coordinator. He teaches electrical circuits, analog and digital electronics, digital signal processing, and power electronics. In 2007, he obtained a French-Brazilian double diploma for having been an exchange student in the T.I.M.E. (Top Industrial Managers for Europe) at Ecole Centrale de Lille, France, having also studied Electrical Engineering - Electronic Systems at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EPUSP). In 2010, he completed his 24-month master's degree in the field of Microelectronics, whose experimental activities were partially carried out at EPUSP and at Fondazione Bruno Kessler/Università degli Studi di Trento, Italy. In 2014, he completed his 48-month Ph.D. in OTFTs as ammonia and acetone sensors in medical diagnostics. In 2019, he completed his postdoctoral research in Microelectronics at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University in New York (USA) and Electronic Systems at EPUSP. In his previous jobs, he worked for 28 months as Professor Doctor with exclusive dedication in Energy Engineering and Physics at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA) and for 11 months as Visiting Professor in the Instrumentation, Automation, and Robotics Engineering course. (IAR) belonging to the Bachelor of Science and Technology (BC&T) at the Center for Engineering, Modeling and Applied Social Sciences (CECS) at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). The main topic of his research is the fabrication and characterization of biosensors from organic transistors (OTFTs). Has experience in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Microelectronics and Molecular Electronics, working on the following topics: characterization of electrical charge transport in disordered solids, organic solar cells, organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs), manufacturing processes in microelectronics (CMOS). ) and Nano and Micro Electromechanical Systems (NEMS/MEMS), nanotechnology, conjugated polymers, and small organic molecules. It is characterized by analytical thinking and focus on results, creativity, communicative character, ability to work under pressure, ease of learning and adaptation to new situations, motivation to explain their ideas, and self-taught.
