Owners Representive

Senior Design and Construction Project Manager responsible for providing project leadership for proposed commercial, mixed use / residential, hospitality and hotel urban development projects throughout the Southeast Florida marketplace. ► Provide project leadership / owners representation for the full life cycle of development; master planning, conceptual/final design, engineering, project entitlement, construction, testing/inspection (QA/QC) and occupancy. Manage an internal team of project managers, assistant project managers, accountants and project support personnel to direct development of the largest project in the company’s history. ► Responsible for management of the Coral Gables Station development, a $200M, 499-unit mixed use, retail and multi-family transit-oriented development (TOD) consisting of 3 building with over 1.2M Sq. Ft. Direct all entitlement/design formalization and construction, including tenant buildouts. ► Directly supervise a project team of architectural design professionals, civil / geotechnical engineers, construction consultants and General Contractors throughout the development life cycle. This includes working with design teams to formulate conceptual/final design, providing design clarifications and implement revisions for civil, landscape and building envelope to obtain permits and maintain regulatory compliance in conjunction with civil, geotechnical, structural engineering and construction teams (foundation through vertical construction). Manage numerous LEED, waterproofing, fire protection, window test, MEP, building envelope, PT encapsulation and smoke control / special inspection consultants as needed.► Conduct extensive negotiations and coordinate activities with 11 Local, County and State governing agencies (AHJ’s) related to permitting, entitlement and regulatory compliance requirements. Designated as the organizations lead contact for all client, consultant, regulatory agency and contractor relations.

Senior Project Manager responsible for the construction and project entitlement of high-rise buildings throughout Miami, Florida. ► Responsible for coordinating mixed use, retail and multifamily high-rise developments up to 43 stories; coordinated design, schedules, budgets, project documentation, permitting, entitlements, contractor services, quality and closeouts.► Projects included Met Square, a $150M, 391-unit mixed use, retail and multifamily development in downtown Miami that included eight floors of podium with retail space, restaurants and multistory cinema complex, as well as, a portfolio of a 43-story tower at 340 SE 3rd Street that features 391 apartments developed by ZOM, restaurants and 18 screen Silverspot cinema. All projects completed on schedule and within budgetary requirements.► Managed an internal project team of project managers, assistant project managers, engineers and field superintendents.

Construction / Project Manager responsible for providing construction management leadership for the development of aviation, transportation, hotel, healthcare, university and parking garage projects up to $450M throughout southeast Florida.

Provided project leadership for effective collaboration related to project master planning, entitlement and construction on complex urban development and municipal infrastructure (aviation, transportation and hotel/casino) projects.► Coordinated all construction project management (CPM) activities for development; reviewed budgets, assessed design, constructability, estimated costs, valued engineered, developed schedules, presented at public meetings, obtained entitlements, selected contractors, oversaw quality and closed out projects.► Responsible for all quality assurance (QA/QC), inspections, testing, commissioning, supplemental 3rd party Quality Acceptance Materials Testing (QAMT), Threshold / Special Inspections Sub Consultants and Commissioning Authority (CxA) and assisting the Project Management Office (PMO) with reviewing, monitoring and providing oversight of the Construction Managers @ Risk (CMR) Quality Control Program. Oversaw all corrective actions as necessary.► Performed analysis, mentored staff and oversaw operations for RFI’s, validation of change orders, identification of additional testing needs and reviewing / generating status reports from construction teams. Also attended weekly progress meetings with owners, contractors, design engineers and safety team personnel to assure coordination among project groups. ► Managed the $450M expansion of Terminal 4 at the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport that included replacement of the original Terminal 4 building with a new building that housed 14 new swing gates, ► Managed GMP implementation / construction of the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) at Miami International Airport that included a four-story, 3.4 million square foot consolidated rental car facility with a 100,000 Sq. Ft customer service lobby, retail and office space for 20 rental car companies and 7000 vehicles. Return facility housed 120 fuel positions, 42 wash bays for car maintenance. Total Project value $486 Million.

Qualifying Agent for the South Intermodal Terminal Facilities at Orlando International Airport. Project consisted of multimodal stations, rail platforms, bus terminal and surface parking. The elevated passenger transfer systems tied in to the Automated People Mover (APM) station and parking garage. All constructed at same time as part of the airports larger South Airport Terminal Development program.

Qualifying Agent for the $80+M Miami Children’s Center. Project consisted of expansion/buildout of the main hospital tower, emergency rooms and associated hospital facilities. Responsible for all project oversight and conducting extensive interim, patient relocation planning to keep hospital in full operation during construction.

Construction Project Engineer responsible for providing construction management and materials quality control (CQM) support to construction management teams on transportation, hospital/medical and university projects in Florida.► Responsible for the analysis of contract documents and identification of project deliverables to generate proposals; worked with project teams in developing project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, processed RFI’s, change orders, assessed labor/equipment resource allocation and proactively ensured compliance with the quality of construction (CQM) program for projects.► Worked as part of the Prolog/TurnerTalk implementation team to roll out Prolog companywide and support/train 32 business units nationally.► Projects included the $328M Miami Intermodal Center (preconstruction services & project award), $24M South Miami Hospital Medical Arts Building & $9M Parking Garage Project, $26M Fisher island / Florida International University (FIU) project.
