As part of Davison Design and Development, I was responsible for product design research, creative problem solving within the design, licensing, and marketing team. I consistently deliver solutions to inventors from around the world and further their ideas into mass production. I utilize CAD software, photo rendering, and sketching to showcase the inventors’ ideas so they can be presented to potential companies.

At this innovative startup company, I took part in the first autonomous mobile manipulation robot (AMMR) of its kind. I was responsible for branding, design research, product development, and creative problem solving within the mobile warehouse piece picking robot sector. I prepared clear and concise ideations, sketches, models, and graphics to better communicate my ideas to the team and to clients. I created and improved robotic designs. I often worked within multi-disciplinary groups that included management, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing specialists.

As a mechanical designer, I used SolidWorks and Draftsight to create frameworks and piping for polyurethane machines for fortune 500 companies such as Whirlpool and Toyota. I collaborated with engineers and technicians to finalize fabrication processes. I presented projects to my team for critique and final review. I worked with clients to develop relationships both over the phone and face-to-face.

As a fabricator, assembler and junior designer, I worked with engineers, welders, and painters to assemble architectural signage, architectural metals, rain screen systems, and metal panel systems. I learned assembly techniques and manufacturing procedures. I also became very familiar with multiple types of materials and fabrication processes.
