Next-AT is an EASA Part-147 Maintenance Training Organisation and a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) approved by the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA). In addition to his role of Operations Manager and Project Manager, Marco holds key functions as Accountable Manager and Airworthiness Manager.Main activities and responsibilities:• Development and management of multiple long-term projects in EMEA, achieving a high performance ratio.• Cost Management, Budgeting and Forecasting activities obtaining an EBITDA around 20%.• Implementation of an effective employee engagement to stimulate collaboration between teams and reduce unproductivity times.• Continuing systemic review of workflows and their efficiency oriented to continuous improvement.

The ACAO is the most important Aeroclub in Italy and one of the most esteemed in Europe. In a growth process endorsed by the board of directors, Marco was chosen as Maintenance Manager to lead and develop a new project aimed at obtaining EASA maintenance organisation certification. Over the span of 5 years, ACAO achieved certification at first under EASA Part-M/F, and subsequently under EASA Part-CAO, progressively expanding its capability year by year. This effort led ACAO to become one of the preeminent general aviation maintenance organisation in Italy, also becoming the sole maintenance organisation approved by Italian civil aviation authority (ENAC) to perform maintenance of emergency parachutes. Throughout the years, Marco consistently trained the internal personnel and since 2021 he holds the role of Quality & Compliance Manager.Main activities and responsibilities:• Responsible person, in front of the Authority, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.• Implementation of the new high-performance market strategy obtaining an EBITDA bewteen 15% and 25%.• Development of efficient procedures and redesign of the processes to significantly reduce the overall processing times.• Management of the Audit processes, overseeing quality, compliance and safety within the organization.

Marco has been approved by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA/BAZL/OFAC ) as Training Manager, supervising a team of instructors in various parts of the world. He also worked as instructor of aviation regulations, as well as instructor for theoretical modules to obtain the aircraft maintenance license under EASA Part-66. Lastly, he created and developed a new business line related to the management of continuing airworthiness (CAMO) for business jet and general aviation aircraft, for which he was approved by Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) to hold the positions of CAMO Manager and Airworthiness Review Staff.Main activities and responsibilities:• Management of a multi-cultural team of instructors and professionals distributed in different parts of the world.• Approved instructor of all EASA Part-66 Modules, Aviation Regulations and Human Factors.•. Responsible of the continuing airworthiness of the managed aircraft fleet with more than 30 aircrafts.

Valbrembo (Bg) - Italy

Glasfaser Italiana S.p.A. was one of the most important organisations in the general aviation aircraft maintenance sector for over 40 years. Marco carried out activities supporting maintenance processes as engineer in the technical department, focusing on process optimization and development of internal procedures. In 2012, he was accepted by the Quality Manager as Quality Auditor to conduct audits for all the approvals held by the organization. In 2013, he was approved by the Italian Aviation Authority (ENAC) as Airworthiness Review Staff for the general aviation aircraft category. Main activities and responsibilities:• Supporting to maintenance activities, focusing on process and procedures optimization.• Performance of the periodical internal Audit with the relative reporting and root-cause analisys.• Certified mechanic for aircrafts and gliders.

As part of his internship program, Marco worked alongside the Quality Manager developing a Safety Management System (SMS) within the helicopter maintenance processes in accordance with EASA Part-145 regulation. This activity was presented as degree project.
