Marco is a 36-year-old Ecuadorian Social and For-Profit Entrepreneur and Speaker. Co-Founder of Megamobilier, a furniture manufacturer that provides the way to have your own business and become your own boss; and Founder and Director of the Misión Ecuador Foundation, which created a social program that has granted 950 fully-funded fellowships to entrepreneurs across Ecuador. Co-Founder of Aclademy.com, an inclusive digital academy, is an Ecuadorian EdTech Start-Up that seeks to revolutionize education in Latin America.In 2016 I was identified by the White House and the U.S. Department of State as one of the most talented and promising entrepreneurs in Ecuador and been selected into the first Class of President Obama’s Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Professional Fellows Program. In 2017 he created Fundación Misión Ecuador, a social program that helped in the economic recovery of the areas affected by the earthquake that hit Ecuador in 2016. Since then we have raised almost 1.5 million dollars in 8 years to grant 1300 fully-funded fellowships to entrepreneurs to a life-changing experience full of master classes, events, social responsibility activities, and conferences; we have impacted more than 10,000 people and created a strong network of volunteers, mentors, professors, speakers, donors, and sponsors in 8 successful editions across Ecuador. being the last one in 2024 in the Amazon Region in collaboration with the InterAmerican Development Bank. These entrepreneurs receive entrepreneurial knowledge and tools and are encouraged to become leaders in the economic recovery of their communities. Several success cases arose from these programs, lifting many families from poverty.In 2018 he obtained, an MBA in Global Business at Coventry University London, and in 2019 was selected by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom to be awarded the Chevening Scholarship and study for an MSc. in Political Economy at King’s College London. Recently I was selected for the Global Competitiveness Leadership Program at Georgetown University in January 2022 and the Atlantic Dialogues Emerging Leaders in Marrakesh, Morocco in December 2023.
