Specialized in Bioscience with a background in Zoology, Biomimetics and Neurobiology; my interests particularly lie in researching the Functional Morphology, Evolution, (Bio)-materials and Ecology of my favourite taxon: spiders. I believe that nature, as a role model, provides us with all the tools we need to approach technological challenges and find innovative solutions.My passion for interdisciplinary research has led me to successfully manage a pan-European research endeavour, where I tackled biomimetic research questions, ultimately contributing to the development of nature-inspired solutions for nanofiber processing.I currently work as Technical Specialist for the Wellcome Sanger Institute's Tree of Life project in Cambridge, where I spearhead the Tree of Life programme's endeavour to sequence all spider genomes. I am very grateful for the opportunity to expand my skillset here through genomics and bioinformatics with the support and trust of the Sanger Institute Happy to connect with like-minded professionals and explore opportunities for collaboration and projects.
