As the general ledger accountant for Edge Loyalty Systems Pty Ltd, a Blackhawk Network company based in Australia, I am responsible for managing and maintaining the company's general ledger. Some of my tasks include ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions entered into the accounting system, analyzing financial data to identify trends and variances, and making recommendations for process improvements. I also collaborate closely with other accounting and finance teams, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable, to ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger. Additionally, I reconcile the company's bank accounts, present analysis reports to upper management to aid in decision- making, and attend financial audits related to the General Ledger.

As the accounts payable accountant for Cyclescheme Ltd, a Blackhawk Network company based in the UK, I was responsible for all accounting activities related to accounts payable. I analyzed the company's financial information and processes to identify areas for improvement. My tasks included managing the accounting cycle for the AP ledger, from receiving invoices to making payments, as well as creating and managing purchase orders. I also maintained positive relationships with the company's suppliers, analyzed payment trends and monthly expenses, and provided documentation of the AP area's processes. I attended financial audits related to accounts payable and carried out process improvement projects. Additionally, I created reports based on AP data to aid in decision-making and managed the company's fixed assets.During my time as an AP accountant, I revised over 10 processes in the area and improved the completion time of these processes to 40% of their original time while also providing more accurate results.

In charge of supervising the accounts receivable ledger of Cyclescheme Ltd. I carry out all the accounts receivable activities in the area, some of these are:- Monitor and manage the portfolio of B2B and B2C clients, ensuring their prompt payment using a CRM and ERP system.- Determine payment terms based on aging and other criteria for our clients.- Guarantee the daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of all the company’s bank accounts.- Register daily transactions in our ERP system.- Verify and resolve discrepancies with customer accounts.- Provide reliable information to the senior executives of the company for the preparation of the annual and period end financial statements.- Carry out the monthly closing process of the AR module.- Support weekly and monthly activities of the AP and GL modules.- Documentation of the processes of the area, identifying possible improvements.- Plan and execute process improvements to the area.- Creation and monitoring of KPI’s for the area.
