With over 30 years experience in the financial services industry I initially grew as an Italian equity sales person to global investors. My language skills helped me establish strong contacts during the '90s with brokers, mutual funds and insurance companies based all around Europe but also the Far East where I travelled extensively. The move to Carnegie in 1993 brought me to London were I strengthened my contacts with UK investors interested in the Italian equity market. One year later I was part of the team that opened Carnegie's operations in Milan. Within a couple of years the office had grown substantially and Carnegie was ranked by Extel among the top tier Italian equity firms. At the end of 1996 a strategic decision by Carnegie to leave Southern Europe saw the arrival of Merrill Lynch as new business partner for the Milan team who continued to sell the Italian product to ML's client base. With the introduction of a unified Euro currency zone Italian clients became the priority. At that time I shifted my focus to local clients and started selling European equity products to mutual funds, insurers, banks and later hedge funds based in Italy. More intense relationship to buy side strategists, asset allocators and CIOs has helped me enlarge the spectrum of discussions/advice to all type of arguments concerning investment/wealth management. During my team membership BofAML has consistently ranked as a Tier1 firm with Italian institutions in the European Equity arena. Early 2012 I decided to move into Private Banking with Allianz Bank. In this new context I have learned to better understand the dynamics of the distribution of financial products in the retail space. Besides managing my private clients‘ portfolio I have coordinated, as a Business Manager, groups of FAs of different sizes between Monza and Milan.
