Cost reduction (and functionality improving) project for a 155 Mbit/s SDH/SONET terminal connected to AXE central. Board (for the signal level Exchange terminal ANSI-ETSI: E1-T1/ STM1-STS3) redesign. R&D Telecommunication Microwave SDH Radios design. Technical coordinator for the Ericsson product VCO Board (Microwave oscillators and frequencies synthesizer) for the high capacity radios“Minilink”. VCO-core redesign, for the VCO-board in the SDH 26GHz radio. VCO-board redesign, for the VCO-board in the SDH 23GHz radio. Design of a new push-push oscillator, to generate the 8 GHz signal, to be used in the future 28GHz SDH Ericsson radio. Designing activity using the software: AWR Microwave Office , Ansoft High Frequencies Structures Simulator-Optimetrics; member of Local Support Organization (distributed management of simulation tools). R&D Telecommunication – RFIC and electro-optic device design.Radio Frequency Integrated Circuits design, using the Cadence suite Integrated Circuit Engineering; simulation using the Cadence software Analog Artist; designed three topologies of 5 GHz VCOs. Designed a RFIC intranet site. Competence in solving implementation problems related to high-density, high-bit-rate, Printed Circuit Board interconnections. R&D Electronic Defense. Prototypes design for avionic/missile/satellite radar assemblies. Microwave good knowledge and skills. Microwave subassembly and components test, design and optimization. Microwave and BF test: vectorial/scalar network analyzer (Agilent 8510, Wiltron 360), spectrum analyzers(Agilent, R&S,..), peak power meter (Agilent, Wavetech), amplifiers/oscillators and passive components complex test set- up, noise figure meters, oscilloscopes, etc. Design, development and test of a 17 GHz Dielectric Resonator Oscillator, for a missile active seeker. Design, development and test of a X-band, 400w (peak) High Power Amplifier, in GaAs F.E.T. technology, for a missile active seeker. Design, development and test of a X-band, 200w (peak) High Power Amplifier, in GaAs F.E.T. technology, for a missile active seeker. Invention that is protected by a patent (X-band power combiner, with about 10 GHz band < 20 dB R.L.). Complex and automated test set up, developed and controlled using National Instruments ”Labview”.
