Growing up I had the great fortune of spending summers in France. My mother was born and raised in Nice - we still have family there; we made regular treks from the East Coast of the United States to the Riviera. The deep blue waters of the Cote d ’Azure, the majestic and humbling French Alps, they were my hangouts. The region's rich cultural heritage, gentle and rugged seashore, the pace and depth of the cities and countryside, and the people’s appreciation for the quality of life called me to ultimately become an architect – a profession that creates a place for people to connect, honors what was and what will be, manifests possibilities and ideas. To this day, I appreciate quality and uniqueness, both in places and people. I have a passion for learning; learning that adds value to my life; learning that I can share with others; be it new technology, a process, or new music, or a great ski run, the simple and complex intrigue me. As a Project Leader, I strive to improve effectiveness and efficiency of people’s skills and resources. It’s necessary. It requires a depth of listening, evaluating, re-evaluating, flexing and being in the moment – all integrating. This doesn’t mean the priorities change. I simply look for better ways to implement them.I live by and honor my values; they keep me on course during tough times. I take ownership for the things that matter most to me. I am adaptable and strive to be a positive force for change. I focus on helping others see connections and purpose in everyday life. And I will always have at least three options in mind so we can adapt if circumstances change. Through life, I aim to be the catalyst. When others are stuck, I help them make a decision and get going. Most important to me is connection. Connecting deeply with people and gaining friends for life is gold. Connecting right solutions to the right problems; connecting ideas to actionable steps – it’s the fundamental ingredient of building anything.
