Clinic of Internal MedicineDepartment of Gastroenterology and Hepatology- Monitor and provide general care to patients on hospital wards and in outpatient clinics.- Admit patients requiring special care, followed by investigations and treatmentexamine and talk to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.- Carry out specific procedures, e.g. performing operations and specialist investigationsmake notes and prepare paperwork, both as a legal record of treatment and for the benefit of other healthcare professionals.- Work with other doctors as part of a team, either in the same department or within other specialtiesliaise with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatmentpromote health education.

- Assist Clinical Resarch Associates (CRAs)/In-house Clinical Research Associate (iCRA) and Regulatory and Start-Up (RSU) with accurately updating and maintaining clinical systems that track site compliance and performance within project timelines.- Assist the clinical team in the preparation, handling, distribution, filing and archiving of clinical documentation and reports according to the scope of work and standard operating procedures. Assist with periodic review of study files for completeness.- Assist CRAs/iCRAs and RSU with preparation, handling and distribution of Clinical Trial Supplies and maintenance of tracking information.- Assist with the tracking and management of Case Report Forms (CRFs), queries and clinical data flow.- Act as a central contact for the clinical team for designated project communications, correspodence and associated documentation.- May accompany CRAs on site visits to assist with clinical monitoring duties upon completion of required training and with required approval.- May perform assigned administrative tasks to support team members with clinical trial execution.

- Identify insured persons of health insurance- Provides technical assistance insured persons by phone- Perform a psychological influence on the insured in the sense calming down due to tensions.- Gives information on the coverage of certain treatment under the terms of the policy, the reasons for refusal, ie. partial refusal- Organize medical examination at the request of the insured- Prepare a report on telephone calls insured- Communicating with health institutions in order to provide better care for the insured and the provisions of medical help- Check the satisfaction of the insured after a scheduled medical examination- Provides information on the status of claim- Perform any other tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor

- Reporting to his/her duty station on time according to the schedule worked out by the department/school/hospital.- Respecting the rules, policies and regulations of the College and University Hospital.- Clerking patients as soon as they appear in the outpatient department or admitted to the ward and keeping clear and concise records.- Consulting the resident or the attending physician on the management of the patient and ensuring that the agreed upon management is carried out.- Ensuring that laboratory and other investigations are ordered and carried out and the results are collected and appropriately documented.- Writing periodic progress-notes the frequency of which will be dictated by the seriousness of the patient‟s illness.- Performing or assist in various clinical procedures in the Regular OPD, Emergency OPD, Ward, Operation theatre, Labor ward, Recovery Room, ICU/NICU, Laboratory/Pathology Rooms, or Radiology and Imaging Dept. according to the guidelines of the specific department.- Writing discharge summaries which, however, should be countersigned by residents or attending physicians.- Updating his/her knowledge through reading and participation in educational activities of the department including morning meetings, rounds, mortality conferences, journal clubs, etc.- Assisting or participating in research activities conducted in the department.- Working on night, weekend and holiday duties as per the assignment put up by the department, and formal handing over of patients to the next intern on duty and/or to the day intern/resident.- Working closely and in harmony with all other health professionals involved in direct or indirect patient care.- Conducting all activities in a professional and ethical manner.- Informing any unethical practice observed to the respective unit/department/hospital.
