About Marco Rasponi
I am a scientist in the field of biotechnology and bioengineering and work as a group leader at Politecnico di Milano. My scientific interests lie in the interdisciplinary research taking place at the borders where physics and engineering meet biology and medicine. My research focuses on the integration of microfluidics, cell biology and tissue engineering to develop advanced in vitro models of human physiology and pathology. By taking advantage of microtechnologies my group develops a new generation of organ-on-a-chip devices, able to exploit 3D cell culture, mechanical and electrical stimulation features.
