My proactive curiosity for innovation and learning, coupled with the desire to impact technological advancements, led me to the MathWorks Academia Team, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. My role is twofold: driving success for MATLAB/Simulink users in academia and supporting Edu business development for the EMEA Indirect channel, covering 15 countries, including Southern Africa, Türkiye, and Central-East European nations.I assist researchers, lecturers, and students at universities and research institutes in tackling cutting-edge engineering and science challenges using MATLAB and Simulink. My projects range from climate risk analysis for mortgages to predictive maintenance for battery management, from cybersecurity student competitions to explainable deep neural networks with fuzzy logic, from computer vision algorithms for investigating cheetah locomotion to exploring engineering education trends like Gen-AI and Responsible Innovation. During my visits to this vibrant region, I engage with brilliant researchers who, despite economic and geographical challenges, inspire me everyday with their resilience and resourcefulness.Additionally, alongside three teammates, I support the business development of MathWorks' Edu Indirect channel by collaborating with four authorized EMEA resellers. I scale and enable global processes and programs, aligning objectives based on local and global industry trends. I began this role in Turin, Italy, before moving to Eindhoven to facilitate on-field visits with customers and distributors.A brief background: I studied Aeronautical Engineering at La Sapienza in Rome and earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical/Material Engineering at TU Dresden, Germany. During my academic career, I developed a model capable of describing smart gels and was a lecturer for the Mechanical Engineering course. I've lived, studied, and worked in three countries—Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands—and I speak English, Italian, and German. I'm passionate about sports like cycling, football, and rugby, and I have a love for good food (I grown up near Caserta, the "Mozzarella headquarters".)My academic and professional experiences provided me with a solid technical knowledge, with business oriented project management skills built on top of it. My strengths include time management, problem-solving, planning, scaffold complex tasks, teamwork, and getting things done while working in harmony with my colleagues. I love traveling and am naturally curious and eager to learn. I enjoy discovering new cultures, and keep growing professionally and personally.
