As an experienced environmental geochemist and U-series geochronologist, I possess an exceptional understanding of paleoclimate dynamics on a geological timescale. With a degree in Biological Sciences and a Ph.D. from the University of Queensland, I have conducted extensive research on environmental geochemistry and geochronology. My research interests include utilizing trace elements, particularly rare earth elements (REEs), as proxies recorded in fossil carbonates to uncover the degree to which climate patterns shape environments such as coral reefs. I have gained significant expertise in utilizing radiogenic isotopes and geochemical data to decipher paleoenvironmental records. Additionally, I specialize in the analysis of bacterially-formed carbonates, like marine microbialites, to reconstruct paleo-water quality conditions throughout the Quaternary.In my current role as a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, I aim to continue my exploration of research interests related to environmental geochemistry and geochronology. Specifically, to investigate the paleoclimate dynamics of various geological periods through the analysis of fossil carbonates and other paleoenvironmental proxies. Additionally, another key role at Princeton is to help set up a U-series geochronology laboratory, with Professor Elizabeth Niespolo.
