I was involved in cash flow projection, general planning, financial statement preparation, and financial and operational data management for analysis and decision-making. I also served as an assistant to the CEO, supporting miscellaneous tasks such as market research, problem-solving, statistical analysis, and decision support.

I used to write stock analysis articles for Seeking Alpha. Firstly, I used to write about any type of stocks. Then, I specialized in the software industry. My analysis included:- Competitive/product assessments.- Financial health and prospects assessments.- Comparative valuations with the appropriate competitors/peers in the industry. This period gave me a great understanding of many software industry segments. It also improved my overall thinking about business and the current dynamics of growth-seeking VC-backed start-ups. Interestingly, these businesses didn't put much attention to their bottom lines but instead focused on building strong customer bases through the magic of subscription/cloud-delivery/land-and-expand models and meager customer churn rates.It was shocking to see investors pay hefty valuations for stocks that did not provide any sort of cash flows at the present moment but promised many benefits in the distant future. I got the idea that value investing was losing relevance to the point that my view on investing changed dramatically. I switched from trying to buy one dollar worth of stock for 50 cents (traditional value investing) to buying a company that would have such a constant execution that investors would keep buying more no matter how expensive its stock was.I felt passionate about the work I used to do, so I intend to retake it shortly.
