I have 10 years experience as a manager. Eight of those years were managing staff and freelancers for The Gazette newspaper. Prior to being promoted to management I was a photojournalist, covering everything from ground zero in New York on September 11, 2001, Formula One Grand Prix racing in Montreal and Spain, to a private hotel room interview with former prime minister Brian Mulroney and former U.S. president George H.W. Bush.I have experience working calmly in high paced, high stress environments. I can quickly learn and new software and tools like web analytics software, Final Cut video editing, various content management systems, and then teaching staff to effectively use them while also troubleshooting issues they encounter at home or abroad. I managed the photo department's budgets and was responsible for presenting and implementing solutions resulting from my analysis of business intelligence data.
