These competitions projected very successful companies such as Braintree (sold to Paypal for 800 MM usd) and Grubhub (with an IPO exit in 2014 and a 3Bi+ usd Market Cap. Marcos was also awarded as the entrepreneur of his cohort in the Booth MBA.Watermelon mission of helping startups is very present in its founder attitude at the entrepreneurship ecosystem. Marcos lectures technology strategy in Unicamp, mentors young entrepreneurs at Unicamp and UFABC, he is part of the assessment committee of startups competitions at UFABC and is a content contributor at Cofounderslab in USA and Startupi in Brazil.
