Technologies/Skills: - PHP - MySQL - Symfony 1.2 - Magento - JavaScript - Project management of an international teamMy responsibility was setting up the right infrastructure , choosing the rightdevelopment team and lead the whole technical project management.We used Symfony 1.2 (Propel), a lot of caching with APC andMemcache for the templates, PHP Objects and DatabaseQueries and the Lucene Search Index.I have been on an extensive Symfony training in Paris at Sensio Labs with Fabien Potencier (he started Symfony) for 2 weeks before we began with the project. We have signed a contract with one developer of Sensio Labs forcreating a messages module. So I have learned a lot from the creators of Symfonyand I'm still in contact with several developers of them.I have learned much about setting up the right technicalenvironment for a scalable and fast system at this project.Beside the community we had a Magento shop with somemarketing articles.I had to develop an interface to our member database to avoida redundant and out-of-sync database.
