Marcos Domínguez is a graduated in Architectural Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). His education allows him to bridge the gap between architectural and engineering disciplines, with special focus on integrating low-energy solutions and adequate indoor environment from early stages of the building design process. Furthermore, his background as Constructing Architect and Construction Manager, and having worked with multidisciplinary teams has allowed him to understand the building act from diverse perspectives. For the last four years, Marcos has been working immersed in international teams, developing the necessary skills to find synergies and communicate efficiently with people with different cultural backgrounds.Marcos has developed projects in the fields of ventilation, energy modelling, BIM, artificial lighting and daylight among others. One of the most remarkable projects is his participation in the Solar Decathlon Europe 2014, an architectural competition for students which aim is to design and build an energy independent house. During his master´s thesis, Marcos has collaborated with Saint-Gobain Ecophon to complete a study about the "Influence of Acoustic Ceiling Units on the Cooling Performance of Thermo-Active Building Systems (TABS)". The study is based on full-scale measurements in laboratory conditions and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.
