About Marcos Lema
At eight, I wrote articles about my local football team in a notebook margin. Now, I am a journalist and political scientist with six years of experience in digital media, radio, press and corporate communications. I work at El Confidencial, the most important Spanish native digital media. I feel lucky: with a lot of effort, my vocation and my passion have become my job. During the way, I have learned from some of the most important journalists in the country thanks to a two-years master's degree at UAM-El País School of Journalism, I have been Mr. Alberto Núñez Feijoo's (former president of Galicia) speechwriter and consultant for three years and I have written for El País, the leading Spanish newspaper, on political and economic issues. At the same time, I have developed strong communication abilities after a decade of experience in debate activities. But this is just the beginning: I am always learning, now through a master's degree in European Union.Recently, I founded Brújula Global, an international magazine, and I was awarded an honourable mention at Premio de Periodismo Michel Vallés 2020 for my articles on Teruel Existe. From local to global, the most important is telling true and interesting stories. Journalism is a universal language: I speak Spanish, Galician, English, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan.
