His foray into the field commenced at the North American wing of Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), where he played a pivotal role in the institution of the company's maiden Information Security Program. As the deputy of the inaugural Chief Information Security Officer, his contributions were instrumental in laying the groundwork for the program and later transitioning into managing the program.From LBG, Marcos journeyed into the legal sector, sensing a pressing need for robust Information Security Programs. He continued his transformative work in the legal industry by establishing a comprehensive Technology Risk and Information Security Program for GM.Marcos then ventured into the banking sector again, this time as the VP and Information Security Officer of Itaú International, the private banking segment of Itaú Unibanco. He led the design and execution of Information Security Programs for the company's Caribbean, South American, and Florida operations.Currently, he is Chief Information Security Officer at H.I.G. Capital, a multi-national private equity titan managing assets upwards of $68 billion. As the stalwart guardian of the firm's Cybersecurity Program, Marcos continues to redefine excellence in his field.
