In my role as a back-end software engineer for Farfetch, I actively contributed to advancing our back-office platform by enhancing various microservices. These improvements extended our product domain to address emerging business cases and expanded the capabilities of our back-office APIs.During this period, I took on the challenge of the bulk product management project. This initiative not only deepened my understanding of our partners' needs but also prompted innovative thinking. As a result, I created novel solutions for the Farfetch platform and navigated through different stages of the project's lifecycle. Collaboration with project managers and stakeholders was essential, and considerations such as performance, monitoring, and costs were addressed. Within my cluster, I became a reference point and played a key role in the redesign of the core product management component.Key achievements from this period include the development of a sophisticated bulk product management system. This system features customizable filters and preset configurations, allowing partners to export catalogs in Excel or Google Sheets format. It facilitates product information review and in-file direct management, seamlessly extracting, ingesting, validating, and storing information across diverse domains within our back-office ecosystem in just a few minutes. Additionally, I developed a critical service serving as the product information manager.
