Before being named Chancellor of the Lake County Campus, Marcos Rodriquez Jr. had dedicated more than 20 years of service to Ivy Tech Community College. His previous positions at Ivy Tech include Director of the Michigan City site and Apprenticeship Manager for the Valparaiso/Michigan City and Lake County campuses. Throughout his Ivy Tech journey, Marcos has been a champion of building strong community and business partnerships. He ensured the success of apprenticeship programs, fostering a skilled workforce benefiting both students and employers. As Chancellor, Marcos strives to empower students to achieve their educational goals. His goal is to use collaboration and innovation to position the Lake County campus for continued growth and success, and to be an essential partner in the bright future awaiting Northwest Indiana. Beyond his service at Ivy Tech, Marcos spends time with his wife of 25 years, Nicky, and their two teenage daughters, and loves to camp and hike.
