I am a computer engineer and a MSc in Cybersecurity student with great interest on low-level programming, malware and security in general. I am just starting my career at the Computer Security Lab of University Carlos III of Madrid (COSEC).# My Security ProjectsI am highly motivated and active on the study of secure technologies. I have published 6 personal projects with an open source license, 3 of them related with Cybersecurity, including the development of:➤ Malware (A LKM rootkit with remote control, ransomware capabilities and stealth functioning).➤ Low-level network libraries (for TCP/IP packets management).➤ Offensive tools (tools for network attacks).For my Bachelor Thesis, I published a comprehensive work on offensive eBPF and eBPF rootkits that has received great attention from the security community (1200+ stars at GitHub) and that we presented at the eBPF summit 2022 (https://ebpf.io/summit-2022/) and at RootedCON 2023 (https://www.rootedcon.com).I am currently developing a new custom tool for analyzing malware, to be published soon! :)All my projects can be found at my Github page (https://github.com/h3xduck). # My InterestsDuring my time off from university I research, in a self-taught manner, topics such as:➤ Binary exploitation.➤ Malware analysis.➤ Penetration testing.➤ Network security.I am an amateur player of Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges on sites such as overthewire and HTB, with the purpose of getting familiar with the tools and techniques commonly used by security specialists in real life. Currently, I am also quite keen on researching about techniques often found in malware.I often write posts on my personal Cybersecurity blog (h3xduck.github.io) where I talk about security topics and anything which has me interested at the moment. I do not limit myself to automated exploitation, but rather I enjoy researching on the low-level internals of exploitation techniques and software vulnerabilities.
