Ciaolab was a Newco created after the management buy out of the Group Bull R&D organization. I was one of the founder of hte NewCo and initially in charge of the Sales. After 2 years I was nominated CEO with the objective of defining and carrying out a turnaround plan, encouraging the entry of new investors and creating the basis for a solid re-launch. The following results were achieved by carrying out my turnaround plan: Ciaolab closed the 2003 financial year with the best results ever recorded; the company consolidated its position with the top customers and gained important contracts with major new international clients. Its costs were halved compared to the previous period; A strategic investor entered into the company’s shareholder group.These results were achieved by reviewing the company mission and its market position, the closure of important contracts coherent with the new approach, the adoption of a rigorous strategy of cost cutting and personnel reduction.

In 1998 I was asked by Bull Europe President to create, start up and manage the Smart Card & Terminal Division for Bull South Europe. After 18 months Bull was recognized by the Italian market as one of the major Smart Card players; Bull technologies won many deals in the Mobile and Banking sector: Bull was also involved into all the main Italian "citizen" projects (i.e. National Health Card, National Identity card ). My position was reporting both to the Bull Italy CEO and to the Groupe Bull Smart Card Division President. I was responsible of the Division P&L. During this period I participated, as Member of the Board of Directors, in defining and executing the turnaround plan of Bull Italy.

I developed the business from 1 ML$ up to 20 ML$ in 6 years by acquiring #6 major new logos in the Insurance sector.

I was in charge of defining the Full offer portfolio for the Insurance market in South Europe, identify and establish partnerships, plan and execute Marketing programs and events througout the country involved (Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal)
