Pulso is a FSO (First Spin Off) project aiming to create a start-up in the Walloon region providing in-vitro testing equipment and services. A patented dual-pump UMONS/ULB technology is exploited to create a device capable of reproducing with high fidelity any pulsatile flow of the human vascular system. The device will be used to: - Evaluate drugs and endoprostheses performances under physiological pulsatile conditions prior to in vivo studies as well as to analyze their interactions with endothelial cells,- Recreate in vitro physiological hemodynamic conditions to study the impact of pulsatile flow on vascular anomalies (aneurisms, stenosis…) as well as patient-specific vascular geometries,- Create endovascular simulators for surgeons training on interventional procedures.

Study, design and implementation of a 3rd generation in-vitro chamber to reproduce the pulsatile bloodstream conditions with the purpose of testing new prostheses' behaviour. The project aims towards the realization of a test-bench that will be used to analyzed the behavior of a new stent, within the blood flow in the Aortic arch framework. The role is responsible of:- Study the blood flow in the Aortic arch in order to define the right stent requirements upon testing.- The use of mechatronical knowledge and the use of linear motors, pumps, sinosoidal valves and flow-meters to design and implement a system that recreates the pulsatile flow of blood.- The use of LabVIEW to design a PID control strategy for the system. - Performing physical tests to study and monitor the aortic and cerebral arteries flow and pressure and the blood clots incidence and behavior regarding the stent.

Analysis, study and implementation of Spinal Meter; software for postural imbalances evaluation. The software is implemented with C++ which has been largely used and finally mastered during the working experience.
