For over 25 years, I've navigated the ever-evolving landscapes of software development and IT. In doing so, I've refined a management style that thrives on adaptability, facing constant changes, complexity, and uncertainty. My career could be divided into three batches: software developer and tech leader, Agile Coach and Trainer, and manager for the last eight years.My curiosity to better understand how an organization works, coupled with my willingness to have an impact, motivated me in these career evolutions. In this journey, I have discovered that every organization is a system, more similar to a natural system than a machine, an intrinsically complex system, where people's behavior and the human factor are paramount. This understanding has shaped my management approach, emphasizing flexibility, continuous learning, and a holistic view of team dynamics.In an environment where uncertainty and complexity are the only constants, I realized that the manager’s role must be multidisciplinary and encompass business and people management, organizational and process design, and technology domains. I've learned that leading with empathy and clarity is the key to dealing with challenges and supporting a company in growth and innovation.I managed seven-figure departments with up to 50 people, reporting to the CEO, CFO, or leadership team. I worked on defining the strategy and improving business metrics.I’m motivated by the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement, where feedback, both given and received, is essential. I advocate this mindset for everyone working with me.In the last few years, I’ve worked in a remote-first distributed company with people from different time zones and customers overseas.
