Electronics EngineerLigo Hanford Observatory Aug 2016 - PresentAssembly, testing, design, and installation of RF and digital controls for the LIGO Hanford observatory. As a member of the LIGO Scientific Collaboration (LSC), we had an amazing Observing Run 2 (O2) where we detected many Gravitational Wave (GW) candidates and in August witnessed the inspiraling of two binary neutron stars. This detection was also observed by the electromagnetic (EM) community.Post O2 I worked as lead electronics engineer for procurement and installation of squeezing technology to LIGO Hanford observatory. We expect squeezing to nearly double sensitivity and range of the interferometer.
