Nectar was a hip, casual, yet upscale suburban restaurant located in the Southpark / Myers Park area of Charlotte, NC (Park and Woodlawn intersection). This was a self funded exercise in futility and one of the hardest financial lessons learned about being a serial entrepreneur. Not to down the place, but as much as I enjoyed being on the sidelines of this.

Mojo's was my favorite little dump of a bar that reminded me of so many places in my home town of Buffalo, NY. Dark, seedy, live music, amazing food, good friends and foosball.It was located originally on the corner of Montford Drive and East Woodlawn. I was a sales representative for the Web services side of CTC for a brief period of time, starting approximately one year after they acquired WebServe, the company I was working for. I was top sales rep (of four to start, then dwindling) for 10 of the 11 months I was in the department. CTC did the best thing ever for me by laying me off in October of 2002.

WebServe was my roots. I worked there twice in my career. Once from early 1997 to early 1999. I learned a lot from those early days when the Internet and dot coms were center stage. WebServe was purchased by CTC in January of 2001, which was the start of the end of the company (in your humble narrator's opinion). WebServe ceased to exist as a brand by.
