Innovation-In-Action, LLC is my company for short and long-term engagements that I have worked on through the years -- everything from MVP's for start-ups to designing, enhancing and fixing enterprise systems. I also advise and mentor clients and provide pass-thru services for clients of clients. Engagements through the years include:- Designed and implemented a custom multi-buyer volume buying platform that allowed for purchasers to bid on products, kits and services offered by vendors and for vendors to provide custom bids on products, kits and services to purchase groups. Bulk purchasing to improve pricing for buyers and volumes for vendors. - Completed development and launched a secure, selective file sharing SaaS website developed using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX and HTML.- ComFit.com - Continued consulting part-time (2009-2013) doing advanced development of the award winning learning center and helped with operations on an as needed basis. Also helped sell the company. Mostly used ASP, MS SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX.- Developed a SaaS education site for consumers. Used PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS and Flash Video (FLV). - Designed and developed key components of a fault tolerant E-commerce engine to accelerate the transactions for online stores with data caching, guaranteed order acceptance and content management. This engine was utilized by the E-commerce sites listed below.- Built early E-commerce sites including KitchenAid, Case Logic, Conair, Orange County Choppers, and Remington.- Startup Weekend @ Yale and the Grove (New Haven, CT) - Team Consensus, a team of 4 formed Friday evening November 13th (2015), triumphed to a 1st place win for the weekend competition. LeadQual is a leader in SEM, SEO and near instant Internet lead qualification. My role was heading up operations for the main call center in Stratford, CT and the smaller one in CA that handled the Internet lead qualification services.Heading up call center operations, I personally serviced major accounts and handled many of the larger new client implementations. I also implemented and managed system and process enhancements and upgrades of information and communication systems that directly improved quality of services.A major improvement I created was a system that tracked and analyzed lead traffic that reduced OT and staffing costs by aligning client needs and improving overall efficiency by 30%. CCC is an exciting technology-focused education and workforce initiative that provides a context and a resource for advancing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) skills to enable students to pursue post-secondary education seamlessly in technology fields; while emerging with the skills necessary to work effectively in the 21st century. The Governor's High School Innovation Challenge is its signature event. In my role as a volunteer mentor, I acted as an advisor during working sessions and online with high school teachers and their students to provide specific experiential learning opportunities particularly in support of the Challenge for the E-Commerce and Entrepreneurship and IT R&D programs. The goals of each program are:IT R&D Innovation Challenge – to develop a computer-based learning game that teaches the concept of sustainable technologies and environmental energy concerns as they develop mock companies and assume positions in each company to complete the Challenge; and E-Business Challenge – to develop an innovative for-profit or not-for-profit e-business that is related to sustainable energy and/or environmental responsibility and is capable of receiving Internet-based electronic payment for its product or service.Judge for statewide E-Commerce competition 2009 and 2010.

Lead the technology design, development, implementation, launch and enhancements for the ComFit Online Learning Center, an award winning e-learning / education product. When not fully engulfed in the development (ASP, MSSQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and JQUERY), I managed technical operations, purchases, vendors, SLR's, SLA's, security, processes and infrastructure. Some of my accomplishments include:- Saved more than 35% on web hosting costs while increasing overall capacity by more than 400%.- Increased Test Drives by more than 50% by reworking SEM, SEO and search engine landing pages.- Managed creation and launch of the Mathematics portion of the learning center.- Initiated processes and procedures for improving operations and providing the foundation for repeatable successful implementations and renewals.As COO (2006-2007)• Led company to profitability and greatly improved organization and operations.Consultant – part-time (2009-2013) (Remote)• Product and business strategy, technology, and operations. Helped build an extraordinary business that created the 1st secondary market for auto lease transfers. Prior to LeaseTrading, getting out of an auto lease was near impossible. And, getting into an auto lease was only through auto dealers / manufacturers and approved lessors. With LeaseTrading we created the market for trading out of your auto lease and into another. As CTO I led the building and management of the technology, technical operations and infrastructure for a VERY secure, robust and reliable trading and transfer system. A very early SaaS implementation.Company moved to CA from CT in 2002. I continued on remotely through 2003 when it was decided that the CTO needed to be located in CA and that was not an option for me.

Managed the development and operation of a highly regarded website that combined e-commerce of high quality sporting goods and equipment for kids with learning about the sports and fitness.Well ahead of the industry, the combination of e-commerce, training and learning for kids and coaches was unique.
