Project Engineer
Current• Critical review of construction documents (drawings and specs) - understand project scope in advance of Precon turnover• Attend Precon turnover meetings – page flip, scope review, follow turnover process• Create Operations take-offs (spots & dots)• Confirm Job Set-Up Form has been created and archived in project folder (if not created review with PM)• Maintain project files and subfolders on network drive per PM’s formatting requirements (keep tidy)• Create and confirm OAC approval of Submittals - product data, O&M, shop drawings, schedule (complete asapplicable, PM approval prior to submission)• Write purchase orders and maintain PO Log (contingent on PM approval)• Materials procurement and manage lead times – pricing requests, orders, delivery tracking and coordination withSuperintendent (contingent on PM approval of PO’s and BOM)• Request invites to all relevant systems from GC and Encore Div26 and ensure PM, PE, and Super has been fullysubscribed – i.e. Bluebeam, Procore, BIM 360, etc.• Write and submit RFI’s as dictated (dictation) by PM or Super (contingent on PM or Super approval prior tosubmission)• Review ongoing changes to construction documents for cost and scope impacts – notify PM of any concerns• Review other contractor’s RFI submissions and responses to identify potential cost and scope impacts – notify PM ofany concerns• Maintain drawings with updates – archive in project folder (for use by Superintendent and PM)• Maintain document control trend logs – construction documents• Maintain WIP forecast for your time (must be updated weekly, and revised by Sunday 11:59PM)• Site walks (as applicable)• Close-out documents – create O&M’s, download Fluke test data and create PDF files, OEM warranties, coordinatewith D&E to create as-builts, archive everything in project folder, and submit to GC/customer (contingent on PMapproval prior to submission)• Coordinate or facilitate Owner’s Training – i.e. AV systems (as applicable)
