Design games requiring high degree of scientific precision in C# / Unity using Oculus Rift (VR) and Kinect (use your body as a joystick) as part of a two-member programming team to research the effects of physical effort on cognitive capacity.The Neuroscape Lab leverages bleeding edge Silicon Valley technology to create novel neuro-diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to scientific research. - Body Brain Trainer: Physical and cognitive trainer using Kinect2 and Unity 3D. Implemented graphical cue, altimeter features, and supported adaptive task-switching paradigm.- Mouse VR Maze: Videogame for mice to study visual cortex activity on a neuron level. Generated flexible grid with randomized texturing and custom designed 3D objects to provide specific stimuli.- MAID: Independently worked directly with researchers to translate scientific objectives for testing memory and attention into a working game design.- DAT: Motion based peripheral attention trainer using Kinect. Designed physical space and innovative programs for national prototype of Digital Learning Labs. After three years of creative thinking, hard work, and advocacy as a founding member of the San Francisco Public Library Board of Advising Youth (SFPL BAY) , The Mix, a Maker Space with a 3-D printer, digital wall, recording and film studios is now open and serving 113,000 Bay Area youth. Part of President Obama's “Educate to Innovate” program with funding from a MacArthur Foundation grant. Bridging the Digital Divide so that anyone with a library card has access to tech resources and opportunities.

As an ESA LOFT Innovation Fellow, I was selected as one of 20 students nationally to participate in White House and Congressional briefings on video games as a unique platform for social change and increasing STEM diversity. Invited as a special guest to 2015 E3.- "The Abstraction of War": Challenges players to think about how technology disconnects users from the human consequences of "smart" warfare by juxtaposing gaming with real-time, open source, drone strike data. Developed using Python.- Dorm Sentry: Small scale, portable, flexible alarm system sends texts or calls your cell when someone invades your space. Designed using Arduino, Twillio, and Node.js.- Eco-Bumper: created sticker with feedback loop tracking carbon footprint using Arduino.- Let's Move Initiative, Healthy Apps for Kids: Android apps “Crunch Time” computer game educating children about nutrition and “Muncher Cruncher” an electronic food and exercise journal with grocery store bar scanner and pedometer.
